I was maybe three?
Not much memory.
I was in my first house.
Acredale.
The door to the basement,
the door to the stairs.
The room was black,
door shut tight.
Then the door opens,
stream of light.
I was scared. I was scared. I was scared.
The shadows followed me, as has the dream...
as have the people who flowed through the stream.
They came walking, silhouette in night,
walk from the door, away from the light.

It was night. I was driving. No idea where. The rain was dense and the road seemingly endless as I, for reasons unknown, traveled through the desert.
Then. Stopped. Cars. Miles of them. A stream of ants, sprawled across the sand, looking for a hill. I don’t know if there was a hill but to my left, through the rain… I did see a house.
I left the car and dragged myself through the rain. I struggle to move.
Saturated. Heavy. Drenched. Unclean.
Unclean. Unclean. Unclean. Unclean.
The house. Before me. Looming over me. Dark. Black. Moving.
Not sure if this is a house but I go in.
Eyes. Blackness.
Eyes. Blackness.

Eyes…. See.
I’m in a room.
Not alone.
Tables surround me.
In this home.
I, like others, I am strapped down to a table. I hear screams. Screams that pitch higher and higher. Screams turn into gurgled squeals. I look to see… next to me. More screams.
The woman… her eyes rolled back into her head… laying back to table… her head slowly being pushed away from her body… the neck stretching… tearing… thinner… screams… thinner… squeals… thinner until her head is on the floor… her neck… a strangled mess of distortions… displaced flesh. Loose… from the neck… snakes. Black snakes. Swarming.
Swarming. Swarming.
I run. Free. My head. In my hands… rope-like skin… thinner… my neck… my head is leaving. Running hard. Balance. Off. Tunnel. Long.
Rain. Tree.
Neck. Head. Me.
Rain. Tree.
From Neck.
Flow Snakes.
Like Sea.
